BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP

Clubhouse

Brownsville Yacht Club is located at Port of Brownsville - one of the most peaceful and attractive marinas on western Puget Sound. We have a cozy and comfortable clubhouse located right at the marina which is available for club meetings, events and available for members to rent at a reduced rate from the Port of Brownsville.

As of June 1, 2025 after 50 years leasing the space from the Port of Brownsville the Brownsville Yacht Club no longer leases the clubhouse due to the increase cost. The club is entering an agreement with the port so the club still has access to the clubhouse.

Rentals reservations made before June 1 will be honored by the port with the rental fees being remitted by the club to the port.

The club furniture, appliances, dishes, etc. will remain in the clubhouse through fall 2025 for the use of the club and renters.

Club members can rent the clubhouse for their own use through the yacht club from the port for a discounted fee of $75.

Cruising

Our Yacht Club organizes cruises for members to go new places and have fun! The cruising year starts in February with in February with Defrosted in Poulsbo, in March with St. Patrick’s Day in Bremerton and picks up as the weather warms.

Social Events

We have many social activities as well, such as participating in Brownsville Appreciation Day, (BAD! may return in 2025), Friday Deck Parties every other week in the summer, educational events like Pier Peer with local marine biologists, Haunted Harbor Halloween charity fund raiser, and we’re always looking for new ideas. What is a yacht? A yacht is a sail or power-driven vessel, usually private (not a "working" vessel), that is used for pleasure and is typically designed for overnight or long-distance use. As such, it usually has sleeping space (berths or staterooms), cooking space (a galley), and "necessary" space (heads).  Size alone does not define a yacht!
