Deck Parties

Deck Parties are suspended for the season.  These are (roughly) biweekly pot-luck events held during the summer. A main dish is provided - bring a dish to share. Everyone is welcome!

Volunteer Mondays

Volunteer Mondays are suspended for the season.  Meet together on Mondays at 10:00 AM to help improve the Port of Brownsville facility.  Completed projects include signage repairs, deck railing and picnic table repairs, life ring installation, upper park cleanup, parking striping, curb painting, and pressure washing.

General Membership Meetings

Second Tuesday of each month in the clubhouse, starting with a pizza social at 5:30, then the business meeting at 6 p.m., followed by a special presentation. Everyone is welcome!

Pier Peer / Beach Walks

Sea Grant and other local government organizations work with us to educate children and adults about the local marine environment

Opening Day

This event, generally the first Saturday in May, kicks off our deck party season with a potluck and live music 

OktoberFest

BVYC welcomes the Hometown Band playing traditional Oktoberfest music followed by a pot luck

Haunted Harbor

is a celebration of Halloween at the Port of Brownsville with decorated boats, candy for children, costumes, the Anubis Hearse Club and a food bank fundraiser.

Decorate the Port

Work together to set up lights and prepare Brownsville for Christmas.

Santa in the Lighthouse

Host Santa in the lighthouse for pictures and celebrations.
